This [QurÕŒn] is notification for the people that they may be warned thereby and that they may know that He is but one God and that those of understanding will be reminded.

Indeed, Allah confer blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.

Everyone upon it [i.e., the earth] will perish,And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

By the dawn And [by] ten nightsAnd [by] the even [number] and the oddAnd [by] the night when it passes,Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception?

Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."

Do you not see [i.e., know] that Allah causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night and has subjected the sun and the moon, each running [its course] for a specified term, and that Allah, of whatever you do, is Aware?

Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? He [i.e., Allah] constructed it. He raised its ceiling and proportioned it.And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness.

Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon.And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude.

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and earth are signs for a people who use reason.
