The universe began to expand and continues to expand. All these galaxies diverge at great speeds.
This is mentioned in the verse ( interpretation of the meaning ) :
{ And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander. }
( ADH-DHÂRIYÂT : 47 ).
