What is the ruling of using the Siwak for the fasting person?

It is a part of the Prophetic Sunnah.
'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
The Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The Miswak (tooth-stick) cleanses and purifies the mouth and pleases the Rubb."

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) :
{ And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.}
